Rare Partial Lunar Eclipse

Read the newspaper and saw an article regarding "Rare Partial Lunar Eclipse". First thing that came to my mind is to stay up and take picture of it :) Since I'm trying to improve my night photography skills, so I thought taking the photo of eclipse will be a challenge. It's not an easy task to do though.

I tried to sleep early but failed to do so! So I waited till 3.35am where the upper left limb of the moon starts to darken. So here it is..

Wasn't that happy with the outcome though but it was my first trial and probably I need to get a better lens to capture this phenomenon again on 1 January 2010.
